Kahle, Gary, American (1942 - )
Gary Kahle, an American Sculptor, was born February 22, 1942 in Blackwell, Oklahoma. After High School and a few years farming, he began work as a welder for GE., On February 7, 1977 while on a field trip for GE he was severely burned in an industrial accident. This serendipitously brought about the opportunity for him to become a sculptor. After 6 weeks in the Hospital and during his 8 months of rehab therapy, he was encouraged by a former college art professor to further investigate his metal sculpture. He never looked back on welding as he had done so before. From that point on, he WAS a stainless steel sculptor.
Since that time, he has had numerous Private and Corporate Commissions and exhibited extensively in One Person shows...receiving much acclaim and awards.
