Janda Zdenek, Czech Republic (1953 - )
Janda Zdenek was born in 1953 in Louny, Czechoslovakia.
From 1968–1972 he studied with Prof. Vlastimil Květenský and then until 1974 with Doc. Zdeněk Sýkora, Already during his studies, he had developed his special, personal style. It is a kind of fantastic realism, using old master techniques. This technique allows him to express new and current topics in the old way. Janda is also characterized by unique and original frames, which he produces himself and which at the same time form the necessary boundary between the work and the outside world.
His works have been exhibited in Prague Gallerie 33 (CR), Dimension Art Gallery (Taiwan), Taipei, Taichung, Kaoshong, Prague Carolinum, Embassy of the Czech Republic, Bruxelles,Casablanca, and the Yu-Hsiu Museum of Art. He has garnered many influential European awards for his artwork.
The Czech Republic president Milos Zeman recently presented an original painting by Zdenek to Emmanuel Macron, president of France. He now lives and works as a freelance artist in Prague.
