"Snow Drift" Limited Edition LIthograph by Adolf Sehring

This particular work, titled "Snowdrift", by Adlof Sehring depicts a farm landscape in Winter. The barm and the house are both covered with snow and most of the vegetation in the foreground is also snow-covered. There is a sense of isolation in this scene...You can image that the farm has no close neighbors and the family of farmers is snug in their home waiting out the frosty weather. . The structure of the pole fence and the angles they form along with the angle of the ladder leaning on the tree in the center background...and the shapes of the other trees, as well. offer an abundance of angels in this landscape.

The border of trees in the background with their heavy foliage is in contrast to the trees in the foreground, which have obviously lost their leaves and are probably apple trees. This is summarized by probably the last harvest of fruit in the buckets, just at the fence line, in the foreground. The ladder obviously there on the tree in the background along with the pole saw, indicate that the pruning is about to commence. A sign that work always awaits you on a farm or ranch. Adolf Sehring brings you into the scene and readies you for that work.
