"Running Wild is the Prototype for the single most famous painting of Horse icons by Jim Warren...."Against the Wind". This heralded cover art for Bob Seger's Album that sold over 6,0000 copies across the Globe. That original piece of art had been owned by Bob Seger until the tim it became a permanent possession of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum in Cleveland Ohio in 2004. The cover art was painted in 1980 and won the Grammy Award for Best Album Cover in 1981.The Museum draws 1,000,000 visitors a year which means that to date copuntless others have also seen Warren's Horse Icon in person.

This original Warren painting of "Runnning Wild" was purchased directly from the artist and measures 14" x 24". It is in excellent condition and was painted circa 1977. It is one of the very first paintings that Warren featured horses as its subject, but even more importantly, it foreshadows the imagery for "Against the Wind". This original has been kept in the same private collection since it was purchased.
